This policy covers thesecondowner.com (the "site") and "Second Owner Channel Tools," the internal application we use to manage our own YouTube channel, The Second Owner. "We" means the people who run The Second Owner.
This website
The site is a static website. It has no accounts, forms, advertising or analytics, and it doesn't set cookies. Our hosting provider, Vercel, may log basic technical information such as IP addresses and browser details to operate and secure the service. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser requests them. See Vercel's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy.
Our YouTube channel
When you watch, comment on or subscribe to our videos, YouTube handles that data under the Google Privacy Policy. We can see what YouTube shows any channel owner, such as public comments and aggregate statistics.
Second Owner Channel Tools (YouTube API Services)
Second Owner Channel Tools uses YouTube API Services. It's used only by us, signed in with our own Google account, to manage our own channel: updating video titles, descriptions, thumbnails, captions and playlists, and reading comments and channel information.
- What it accesses: data about our own channel and videos, including public comments viewers have left on them and channel membership information, through the permissions we granted it.
- How it's used: only to manage and improve our channel. We don't sell, rent or share this data, and we don't use it for advertising.
- Storage: access credentials and any data we retrieve are stored on our own computers. We keep retrieved data only as long as we need it to manage the channel.
- Revoking access: the Google account owner can revoke the app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
By using these tools, we agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date above.
